Alpaca fiber is very fine, lightweight, and has great insulative properties. Often people ask if alpaca is itchy because they have an old wool sweater that they cannot wear. Alpaca fiber is extremely soft and differs from sheep's wool in that it is semi-hollow and does not have lanolin, the oil coating sheep’s wool. This makes processing easier as no harsh chemicals are needed to remove lanolin, as alpaca fiber does not have any.


Alpaca makes wonderful socks, especially for outdoor enthusiast. Hunters, gardeners, and hikers have raved about the warmth of our alpaca socks. With their moisture-wicking properties, alpaca socks are very suitable for wearing during long workdays. Your feet will thank you!
